UMP Signs MoU with UCSI University Malaysia

Start Here Go Anywhere. The tagline of Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto (UMP) always reinforces the spirit of the university to facilitate its students to get international experiences and to make it globally more well-known.

Recently, UMP signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UCSI University Malaysia on Friday, 29th March 2019, in Kuala Lumpur. The delegates from UMP, led by vice rector for General Administration Affairs Joko Purwanto, MSi, included Director of International Affairs Office Santhy Hawanti PhD, Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy Dr Agus Siswanto, Head of Master of Pharmaceutical Department Didik Setiawan PhD, and Head of Pharmacist Profession Program Dr Nunuk Aries Nurulita.

Dean of Pharmaceutical Science Faculty, Prof Dr Mogana Sundari A/P Rajagopal, and heads of departments welcomed UMP delegates in the Kuala Lumpur campus.

The MoU was signed by Joko Purwanto MSi as the representative from UMP and Prof Mogana representing UCSI University.

The meeting was continued with further discussion about possible activities to do by the Faculty of Pharmacy in both universities. This resulted to an agreement to hold double degree and credit earnings program.

“These collaborative activities will probably start by the beginning of academic year 2019-2020. At this moment we are working on matching the curriculum of Faculty of Pharmacy at UMP and the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science at UCSI University”, Dr Agus said.

Moreover, with 11 faculties including undergraduate and postgraduate studies, UCSI University provides great opportunity for students and staffs of UMP to do collaborative activities in Malaysia. (nov-kui)
